Mahomes Was AIRSHARE’s “Official Spokesman and Brand Ambassador” At the Time of Her Death; Mahomes Extended His Relationship Only Months After Hyde Was Killed on AIRSHARE’s Jet
WASHINGTON, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Friends of Dana Hyde has called on Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes to sever all ties with AIRSHARE, a private jet provider which operated the aircraft involved in a 2023 incident that resulted in Dana Hyde’s death, as well as denounce AIRSHARE’s handling of the deadly incident that occurred while he was AIRSHARE’s brand ambassador and official spokesperson.
In 2018, Mahomes signed a lucrative multi-year deal with AIRSHARE, an arrangement he extended in 2023, approximately three months after the March 2023 incident that resulted in Dana Hyde’s death. Mahomes is being asked to:
- Explain why he continued to promote AIRSHARE after Hyde was killed on an AIRSHARE plane.
- Explain why he extended his AIRSHARE contract only months after the tragedy resulting in Hyde’s death.
- End all current ties to AIRSHARE and explain the exact circumstances and timing under which the relationship was altered or terminated prematurely.
Friends of Dana is only making this appeal publicly after Mahomes did not respond to two private communications sent over the last month. The first letter was sent to Patrick Mahomes on September 24, 2026. The second letter was sent on October 19, 2026
Friends of Dana was formed to honor the former official’s work as a public servant under President Barack Obama and Secretary Hillary Clinton, and garner support for her family’s pursuit of justice against Airshare (Airshare is owned by private equity firm Kompass Kapital), and Bombardier, the plane’s Canadian manufacturer.
