Members of Local 110 Demand Fair Contract, Affordable Health Care

EBENSBURG, Pa., Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Members of Teamsters Local 110 at two Abarta Coca-Cola facilities in Dubois and Ebensburg, Pa., have been forced to the picket line after months of negotiations. The 85 Teamsters are bulk drivers, transport workers, driver merchandisers, warehouse workers, merchandisers, and technicians.

International Brotherhood Of Teamsters

“Abarta Coca-Cola workers have had enough and will not put up with the company’s insulting offers,” said Jeff Padellaro, Director of the Teamsters Brewery, Bakery, and Soft Drink Conference. “Management has taken advantage of their hard work for far too long, and it is time for the company to come back to the table and offer our members a fair agreement.”

Local 110 has been negotiating with the company since July, but management has repeatedly made offers workers cannot accept. Management’s insulting proposal includes a more than 32 percent increase in health care costs.

“Throughout negotiations the company continuously bargained in bad faith and never offered the workers a contract that honors the work they do to keep Abarta Coca-Cola successful,” said Darrell P. Watt, President of Local 110. “Our members were left with no choice but to strike and are prepared to remain on the picket line for as long as it takes management to offer a fair deal.”

“All of us here only want one thing: a fair contract,” said Denny Stephens, a Coca-Cola bulk driver of 25 years and a member of Local 110. “None of us want to be on strike, but management left us no other choice. We want to go back to work. Give us a fair contract and this strike will be over.”

Teamsters Local 110 represents thousands of members across Pennsylvania.
