The October NLH and PLO events recorded 45 Brazilian Day 2 qualifications and generated $6,862,500 in prize pools.
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Brazilian players recorded 45 Day 2 qualifications and three final-table appearances in Americas Cardroom‘s October Dual Venom Progressive Knockout (PKO) tournaments, extending the country’s record of strong Venom results.
The $5 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em (NLH) Venom PKO drew 2,143 entries for a $5,357,500 prize pool. The $1.5 million guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event attracted 602 entries and generated a $1,505,000 prize pool. Both $2,650 buy-in tournaments concluded October 21.
Victor Pedote (“meteli goli”) placed seventh in NLH for approximately $104,088, including bounties. In PLO, José Orlando (“Blessed33”) finished fourth for approximately $82,743, while Yuri Martins Dzivielevski (“vousconfus”) took fifth for approximately $72,633.
Of the Brazilian Day 2 qualifications, 39 came in NLH and six in PLO. Martins advanced in both formats, so the 45 qualifications do not represent 45 distinct players.
Additional Brazilian NLH finishes included “LaMurruguita” in 13th for approximately $42,571 and “SouNinjaa” in 14th for about $34,120. Progressive Knockout bounties were available from Day 1, separate from regular tournament prizes.
Orlando and Martins also made the April 2026 PLO Mystery Bounty Venom final table. Earlier Brazilian winners include Rafael Moraes and João Simão in 2019 and Ramon Kropmanns in 2021. Gabriel Tavares won the April 2025 NLH Venom for $1,505,240.
The October NLH and PLO titles went to “PushLightYear” and “tigerseyes,” respectively. Combined prize pools exceeded the tournaments’ $6.5 million guarantees by $362,500.
