- A new program is officially underway at New York’s Genesis House Restaurant
NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Genesis House Restaurant unveils a new chapter, introducing a welcoming and elevated Korean dining experience on the second floor of Genesis House in the Meatpacking District. As the culinary expression of Genesis House, the restaurant brings familiar and beloved dishes into a refined setting highlighting deep heritage of Korean culinary approach. Operated in partnership with Hand Hospitality, an established hospitality group known for creating thoughtfully curated dining experiences across New York City, the restaurant invites guests to explore a rich culinary tradition of Korea through flavor, craftsmanship, and shared discovery.
The new menu draws inspiration from regional traditions, pairing recognizable dishes with seasonal ingredients in a contemporary setting. Anchoring the experience is a signature Bulgogi program featuring three distinct expressions: Seoul, Eonyang, and Gwangyang, each highlighting the unique character and preparation style of its region. These signature preparations are complemented by a menu designed for sharing, including seafood jeon, yukhwe, Korean fried chicken, and bingsoo. Genesis House Restaurant also welcomes Bar Cham, one of Seoul’s most acclaimed cocktail destinations, for its first official restaurant partnership overseas. As the restaurant’s beverage partner, Bar Cham brings its celebrated cocktails and the spirit of Seoul to New York. The collaboration introduces a contemporary beverage program rooted in craftsmanship, heritage and regional storytelling.
“The Bar Cham team embraces a thoughtful expression of cocktail culture, and we are honored to welcome the team to Genesis House Restaurant for its first official restaurant partnership,” said Joe McHugh, director of brand experience, Genesis House. “Their respect for heritage and distinctly modern sensibility make Bar Cham a natural complement to the experience we are creating for our guests.”
The beverage menu draws on the six regions of the South Korean peninsula. Offerings include Songpyeon, a sweet and savory blend of Pungjeong Sagye Winter Soju 42, chestnut makgeolli, lemon, ginger, cinnamon, and chocolate, as well as Cham Negroni, a negroni-inspired cocktail, prepared with roasted Solomon’s seal, soju infused dried mandarin peel, vermouth, and Campari.
“Genesis House felt like a natural setting for our first official restaurant partnership, bringing our shared appreciation for culture, craft, and hospitality together under one roof,” said Byungjin Lim, co-owner and bartender, Bar Cham. “Our goal was to create a beverage program that carries the spirit of what we have built in Seoul to New York, with each cocktail telling a story about the regions, history, and seasons that inspire it.”
Reservations for daytime tea and dinner are now available on Resy, with lunch service to be announced.
