AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The holiday countdown can officially begin: Early Bird registration is open for the 2026 Austin Trail of Lights Fun Run, sponsored by Raising Cane’s. The festive run returns Saturday, December 5, with discounted tickets available for a limited time through Ticketbud.
Each year, the Austin Trail of Lights Fun Run invites participants of all ages to be the first to walk, jog, dash, or dance their way through the Zilker Park display of lights. New this year, a rolling start gives participants more flexibility to do the Fun Run their way by choosing any start time between 6 and 8 p.m.
Avid runners looking to set a fast pace may also register for the Runner’s Start to take off at the 6 p.m. countdown along with VIP registrants.
All racers are invited to refuel at the Finish Line Festival, with local food trucks, a health and fitness expo, activities from community partners, music, lights, and a space to celebrate with friends. Finish Line Festival tickets are also available separately for friends and family who want to skip the course and head straight for the celebration.
