November 1 event will bring veterans together for education, wellness resources and community connection, powered by RYTHM.
ORLAND HILLS, Ill., Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Stash Room will host its Veterans Day Bash on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. at 9545 167th Street in Orland Hills. Presented with Balanced Veterans Network (BVN) and Operation 1620, and powered by RYTHM, the event will celebrate veterans while connecting attendees with resources, education and a supportive community.
The free event will feature veteran resources, food trucks, local vendors, historic military vehicles and equipment, and opportunities for veterans to sign up for free medical cannabis certification. Admission is open to adults 21 and older with a valid ID.
For Robert Sanchez, a veteran who has joined both BVN and Operation 1620, the event reflects the value of finding community while exploring his own path to wellness.
“Through BVN and Operation 1620, I’ve found a community of veterans I can connect with, and cannabis has been part of my personal wellness journey,” said Sanchez. “Having a place where we can come together, share our experiences and learn about available resources means a lot. I want other veterans to know they have support.”
Programming will begin at noon with “BVN Intro 101,” led by Caleb Masoner. At 1:30 p.m., Eric Jansen and Steve Philpott Jr., MSc, CSCS, will present policy updates. A moment of silence will take place at 4:20 p.m. to honor those who have served and remember those lost.
“We want veterans to feel appreciated and have a place where they can connect with people who understand their experiences,” said Jorge “Jojo” Plascencia, Director of Marketing at Stash Dispensaries. “Bringing BVN and Operation 1620 together at The Stash Room gives us an opportunity to support that community, create meaningful conversations around wellness through the plant, and help veterans connect with resources.”
The Veterans Day Bash is part of The Stash Room’s continued commitment to bringing people together through community events and cannabis education.
