Attend open-house-style tours, in person and online, and explore real solar installations and sustainable building features

BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) invites the public to its National Solar Tour Showcase Weekend, taking place October 2-4, 2026. Attendees have the opportunity to visit in-person or virtual tours of solar-powered homes, businesses, and community sites across the country, either in person or virtually from anywhere in the world. Now in its 31st year, the National Solar Tour is the largest grassroots solar event in the United States. This year’s Showcase Weekend features hundreds of host sites across all fifty states, ranging from residential rooftop systems to community solar gardens and net-zero homes, giving attendees a firsthand look at how solar and clean energy technologies work in real life.

Attend an in-person or virtual tour in your community this weekend at map.nationalsolartour.org!

“Whether someone is actively considering solar or simply curious about what it looks like in their own neighborhood, this is a chance to see it in action and ask questions directly,” said Ella Nielsen, ASES Programs Director. The National Solar Tour is made possible with support from platinum sponsor FranklinWH, along with additional sponsors, Exact Solar & Belmont Solar.

Attendees can:

  • Visit host sites in person to see solar panels, battery storage, and energy-efficient home features up close
  • Talk directly with homeowners, installers, and solar advocates about their experience going solar
  • Join virtual tours from home, exploring participating sites through photos, videos, and live Q&A
  • Learn about incentives, financing, and how to start their own solar journey

How to Participate:
RSVP for in-person tours at map.nationalsolartour.org and on the National Solar Tour app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Virtual tours are available year-round. For any questions, please contact solartour@ases.org.
