Gamers and content creators nationwide aim to raise $125,000 to deliver Starlight programs to kids battling cancer.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Starlight Children’s Foundation today announced the launch of this year’s Stream For Starlight (S4S) campaign, running for the entire month of September in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The fundraising initiative aims to raise $125,000 to bring Starlight Gaming to hundreds of hospitals across the country, helping young patients cope with fear, find distraction from pain and build trusted connections with care teams. Content creators will go live on their channels to play games, craft, cook, and more, rallying their communities to support Starlight’s mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families.

Stream For Starlight aims to fundraise $125,000 for kids in hospitals.

“Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor kids and families impacted by childhood cancer. It reminds us of just how much comfort, happiness, and normalcy matter during a hospital stay,” said Adam Garone, CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation. “Stream For Starlight gives our incredible community of creators a meaningful way to show up for these kids. We’re so grateful to every creator and community coming together to make a difference this month.”

Since Stream For Starlight launched in 2019, more than 2,000 charity streamers have raised over $3 million for Starlight. In 2024 alone, the S4S community raised $473,000 to fund the delivery of Starlight Gaming Stations to hospitals nationwide. This September’s campaign strives to build on that momentum, with special kick-off events, tournaments, and community challenges planned throughout the month.

How to Get Involved

  • Sign up to fundraise: Register as a creator for September’s campaign.
  • Stream your way: Whether it’s gaming, art, music, or another passion, any type of content can become a force for good.
  • Support a streamer or donate directly: Community members who don’t stream can still make an impact by donating to a participating streamer or directly to Starlight.
