Patrick Sweeney joins from Pennsylvania and John Palmer joins from New York

DALLAS, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Prospera Financial Services, Inc. (“Prospera”), a boutique wealth management firm supporting a nationwide network of independent advisors, today announced that Patrick Sweeney of Pennsylvania and John Palmer of New York have joined its growing national platform.

Sweeney is the President and Wealth Advisor at Chartiers Capital Group, based in the Pittsburgh metro area, and has more than two decades of wealth management experience, including roles at Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Palmer, Founder of Palmer Financial in Smithtown, New York, has more than 40 years of wealth management experience in roles at Prudential Securities, Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors. He works with families to help them meet their financial goals. The advisors are expected to bring a combined $75 million in assets under management (AUM) to Prospera.

“I was looking for a firm that had like-minded advisors and would provide the resources and operational support to enhance client experiences and firm growth,” Sweeney said.

Palmer added, “As my firm embarked on its next phase of growth, I needed a partner that would continue to provide value for my business and clients.”

Prospera’s boutique feel is supported by its knowledgeable back-office staff and dedication to advanced technology for all its advisors, regardless of size. Prospera effectively balances sophistication with individualized client care through a 2.5:1 advisor-to-home-office ratio commitment, leadership that prioritizes advisor feedback, and $30 billion in assets under management. This ratio will not change as the firm continues to integrate advanced AI solutions to further empower advisor and firm growth.

“The advisors who thrive at Prospera share a commitment to doing what’s right for their clients and building businesses designed to endure,” said Tarah Williams, Prospera’s President and COO. “John and Patrick have each built distinct practices that embody that approach. We’re pleased to welcome them both to Prospera and to partner with them as they position their businesses for the future.”
