SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — To begin Hunger Action Month, Parker Migliorini International (PMI Foods) and the Utah Food Bank have announced an additional partnership to support Utah families navigating food insecurity. Through the partnership, PMI Foods will donate $15,000 to sponsor a school’s participation in Utah Food Bank’s Mobile School Pantry for the next two years. The program provides monthly grocery-style food assistance to students and their families at participating schools throughout Davis, Iron, Utah, Salt Lake and Washington Counties.

“Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to come together and support families facing food insecurity,” said PMI Foods President Darin Parker. “The Utah Food Bank has been a great partner in our efforts to address food insecurity in our community and we are proud to expand this partnership through their Mobile School Pantry.”

“Our Mobile School Pantry program allows us to deliver fresh, nutritious food directly to one of the most trusted environments for Utah families…the school playground,” said Utah Food Bank President & CEO Ginette Bott. “This donation from PMI Foods will help us purchase, assemble and distribute resources to those in need. We are thankful to have their continued support during Hunger Action Month.”

Through Utah Food Bank’s Mobile School Pantry, each student receives 15 to 18 pounds of grocery-style food monthly throughout the school year.

Earlier this summer, PMI Foods partnered with the Utah Food Bank by donating 1,738 fully cooked frozen protein products to be distributed to food pantries and shelters statewide. Expanding this partnership will continue to support families facing food insecurity throughout the year.

National Hunger Action Month is recognized in September to raise awareness of food insecurity in the United States and inspire action. Across the U.S., millions of Americans face hunger regularly making community support vital.
