Cloud-native platform will power a modernized electronic point of sale system across Post Office branches, as part of the organization’s Horizon replacement programme
BOSTON, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — OneView Commerce, a provider of cloud-native, composable commerce technology for retailers, today announced it has signed a contract with Post Office Limited, the UK’s largest retail network, to deliver a new electronic point of sale (EPOS) system across all branches. The agreement, awarded under Lot 2 of Post Office’s Horizon replacement procurement, is valued at £141 million excluding VAT.
The contract is part of Post Office’s wider programme to replace its legacy Horizon system and modernize technology across its branch network, a central pillar of the organization’s five-year Transformation Plan. OneView will work alongside Post Office and Accenture, which is separately leading the transition of day-to-day Horizon operations and back-end development, to deliver the new EPOS platform.
Built on OneView’s cloud-native, API-first architecture, the new platform will bring a commercial off-the-shelf system to Post Office, enabling the retailer to gain agility and control over store experiences as they transform operations. The OneView solution will enable electronic point of sale, mobile services, customer engagement and clienteling and self-service kiosks, giving postmasters modern, reliable tools to serve their communities.
