Federal agencies can now forecast and build AI models on governed financial data inside OneStream’s FedRAMP High authorization

BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — OneStream, the AI operating system for modern Finance that unifies core financial and operational processes, embedding the governance, context, and control to make AI work for Finance, today announced that SensibleAI Forecast and SensibleAI Studio have been added to OneStream’s Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High authorization status. Federal agencies running the OneStream platform in the OneStream Government Community Cloud can now forecast and build AI models against their own financial data without moving it outside the authorization boundary.

OneStream Software LLC

“Authorizations like FedRAMP High are key differentiators for vendors that can demonstrate verifiable AI governance, not just claim it,” said Heather Herbst, Research Director, Worldwide CFO Buyer Insights at IDC. “Achieving FedRAMP High gives CFOs a clear signal that its AI capabilities are backed by the kind of rigorous, independently assessed controls the market is starting to demand.”

For federal finance teams, this removes a significant barrier to putting AI into practice: applying advanced AI capabilities to sensitive financial data while maintaining the security, governance and controls required for high impact federal workloads. With this expanded FedRAMP High Authorization, government agencies can now modernize their finance management in one secure environment, including:

  • Use AI across critical finance processes. Apply AI beyond forecasting, using SensibleAI Studio across planning, close, reporting and analysis, helping teams identify anomalies, understand performance and query financial and operational data faster.
  • Build and deploy AI without specialized data science expertise. Give finance teams guided, no-code capabilities to configure and run AI, while enabling developers and partners to extend those capabilities for agency specific needs.
  • Keep AI and financial data in one governed environment. Run AI on the same governed OneStream data, security and metadata used for financial processes, without exporting sensitive data to separate AI tools or maintaining external data pipelines.
  • Maintain transparency and control over AI outputs. Give finance teams visibility into forecast drivers, modeling assumptions and data sources, while Studio provides built-in dashboards, audit trails and transparency into AI outputs.

“Public sector finance leaders need AI-driven agility to navigate a constantly shifting landscape, but they can’t risk acting on insights they can’t trace,” said Tom Shea, Co-Founder and CEO at OneStream. “Our recent research shows that 47% of executives have made major decisions on inaccurate data, and 61% second-guess their numbers monthly. Bringing SensibleAI Forecast and SensibleAI Studio under our FedRAMP High authorization gives agencies the power to securely scale AI on their trusted financial data without compromising the highest federal security standards.”

SensibleAI Forecast and SensibleAI Studio are available now to federal agencies running in the OneStream Government Community Cloud. To learn more about OneStream for government, visit www.onestream.com/solutions/government.
