The new ultra-premium mayonnaise is crafted in France and will be offered in four delicious varieties, available exclusively at more than 2,000 Albertsons Companies stores across the country

HOBOKEN, N.J., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Maille, the beloved French condiment brand founded in 1747 and known worldwide for its iconic Dijon mustards and cornichons, is thrilled to announce the debut of its new mayonnaise line. The new mayonnaise is available in four delicious varieties, including Original, Dijonnaise, Spicy, and Truffle Mayonnaise, and is now available for purchase in Albertsons stores across thirty-six states.

Maille Mayonnaise

Crafted in Maille’s birthplace of France, Maille Mayonnaise is an ultra-rich and creamy mayo that elevates every bite, while bringing the same focus on ingredient quality and flavor that has shaped the brand for centuries. Taking culinary cues from France – a country that understands how simple, rich ingredients can transform every meal – Maille Mayonnaise is decadent, indulgent, and packed with flavor, so even a little Maille brings a lot to the table in every dip, spread, and spoonful.

The four flavors include:

  • Maille Original Mayonnaise — Made with apple cider vinegar and a subtle touch of mustard for a balanced, savory flavor, with the versatility to carry everything from composed sandwiches to sauces and more considered everyday cooking.
  • Maille Dijonnaise Mayonnaise — Made with Maille Dijon and visible flecks of Maille whole-grain mustard for a distinctly mustard-forward flavor without the pungency of straight Dijon, bringing a more refined mustard note to steak sandwiches, salads, and sauces.
  • Maille Spicy Mayonnaise — Made with Espelette chile for smoky, fruity heat, a light citrus note, and visible chile flecks, creating a more layered alternative to a straightforward spicy mayo for bowls, sandwiches, and salads.
  • Maille Truffle Mayonnaise — Made with real truffle pieces for an earthy, savory flavor with notes of wild mushroom, garlic, and nuttiness, with enough character to work as a dip or finishing element for burgers and other richer dishes.

For Maille, this launch was a natural extension of the French approach to flavor and ingredients that has shaped the brand since 1747: using simple, high-quality ingredients to create exceptional products. All four of Maille’s new mayonnaise varieties are made with cage-free eggs and double the egg yolk compared with other mayonnaise brands, giving the product a rich, velvety texture. The mayonnaise is also EDTA-free and contains no artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors—and all four indulgent flavors offer home cooks, foodies, and professional chefs a decadent way to enhance every meal that goes beyond a neutral base or finishing spread.

“When it comes to delicious and indulgent food, the French know best—and that is no different when it comes to their mayo,” said Brandon Collins, Maille’s Mustard Sommelier and Executive Corporate Chef for Unilever. “When we set out to develop Maille’s first mayonnaise line available in the US, we knew we wanted to bring that simple, rich indulgence home to shoppers’ kitchens—and Maille Mayonnaise delivers a creamy and rich flavor experience.”

Each of the new mayo varieties – Maille Original, Dijonnaise, Spicy, and Truffle Mayonnaise – will be sold in an 11-fl. oz. jar for MSRP $7.99, with shelf pricing varied by retailer and location. All four varieties are now available exclusively at more than 2,000 Albertsons Companies stores across thirty-six states, including Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Vons, Pavilions, ACME, Randalls, Star Market, Kings, Tom Thumb, PAK’nSAVE, Carrs, Balducci’s, United Supermarkets, and Andronico’s Community Markets. The Albertsons Companies’ exclusive marks the first phase of Maille Mayonnaise’s U.S. rollout, with broader retail availability planned for early 2027.
