MIDLAND, Texas, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Layne’s Chicken Fingers, the fast-growing, 50+ location chicken finger brand known for its hand-breaded crispy tenders, crave-worthy sauces and Texas toast–stacked sandwiches, is bringing the flavor to Midland with a grand opening celebration on October 24th at 2000 Rankin Hwy.
To celebrate, the first 50 dine-in guests will receive free Layne’s for a year, giving early visitors a very delicious reason to line up. A percent of sales will also go to Midland Senior high school on grand opening day.
The new restaurant expands Layne’s Chicken Fingers‘ presence in West Texas, introducing more guests to the chicken finger brand that has built a loyal following and fueled rapid expansion across the U.S. (Fair warning: these tenders may ruin other tenders for you.)
Eli Cohen, founder of C5 Restaurants, is building significant momentum under a 55-unit development agreement signed in late 2025 to bring Layne’s Chicken Fingers to Texas and Arkansas. With multiple restaurants opening in rapid succession, Cohen is helping introduce the brand to new Texas markets while expanding its footprint across the state.

The Midland location will serve Layne’s full menu of chicken finger meals, sandwiches and sides, including its signature chicken finger meals, Texas toast–stacked sandwiches and fan-favorite chicken club topped with brisket bacon and American cheese. Guests can pair their meal with Layne’s lineup of dipping sauces, from the brand’s signature house sauce to jalapeño ranch, honey mustard, BBQ and gravy.
The Midland opening marks another step in Layne’s continued Texas expansion and comes just one week before Cohen opens the brand’s first restaurant in San Antonio. Together, the openings underscore the pace of development under Cohen’s agreement and Layne’s broader growth across the state. Year-to-date, Cohen has opened three Texas locations, with the Midland restaurant adding to that momentum.
