The partnership builds on a longstanding relationship between the two Hawai’i businesses. Since opening its original Chinatown location, Skull & Crown has been a longtime supporter of Kōloa Rum, featuring the brand across its cocktail programs, including its annual Tiki in Waikiki celebration and seasonal holiday pop-ups.
The private-label RTD combines Kōloa Kaua’i White Rum with pineapple and passion fruit purée, creating a refreshing expression of tropical island flavors. Produced on the Garden Isle of Kauaʻi, the cocktail showcases Kōloa’s handcrafted rum and the vibrant flavors of Hawaiʻi and is available exclusively at the Skull & Crown Trading Co. bar. The Pineapple Passion RTD is also featured at Mauka Warriors, an immersive Polynesian cultural experience and dinner show, where it serves as the base for the venue’s signature Mai Tai. Finished with a float of Kōloa Kaua’i Dark Rum, the Mai Tai gains depth and rich notes of Tahitian vanilla, complementing the tropical fruit flavors and creating a layered expression of the islands.
The partnership is brought to life through the RTD’s one-of-a-kind packaging, featuring custom label artwork created collaboratively by Skull & Crown owners Noa and Angelina, Mauka Warriors and Kōloa Rum, bringing the distinct identities of all three Hawaiʻi brands together in a single design.
