Kinross Gold shares gapped down more than 10% in midday trading on September 24, 2026 after the Company cut its 2026-2027 production outlook. SueWallSt notifies investors of a pending investigation into potential securities law violations.

NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Kinross Gold Corporation (NYSE: KGC) fell sharply when the market opened on September 24, 2026, and by midday had fallen to a more than 10% decline. If you lost money on Kinross Gold, you are encouraged to click here to submit your KGC losses. You may also contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. via email at jlevi@SueWallSt.com or by telephone at (888) SueWallSt.

The repricing followed the Company’s September 23, 2026 operational update. Kinross stated that 2026-2027 attributable production would be approximately 1.84 to 1.86 million gold equivalent ounces annually — 2% to 3% below the low end of prior guidance, and, as reported by Mining.com, roughly 8% below the previous guidance midpoint. Reported 2026 all-in sustaining cost guidance was approximately $1,850 to $1,900 per ounce.

The Company partially blamed “lower mining rates and lower than expected grades and recoveries” at Round Mountain Phase S. Management had previously indicated that “[h]igher grade, higher recovery ore is expected from Phase S in the second half of the year.”

Shareholders who lost money on Kinross Gold may have their KGC losses reviewed at no cost, or contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at jlevi@SueWallSt.com or (888) SueWallSt.

Frequently Asked Questions About the KGC Investigation

Q: How much did KGC stock drop?A: Shares traded down more than 10% by midday on September 24, 2026, after the Company disclosed that 2026-2027 gold production would come in below prior guidance. Investors who purchased shares and suffered losses may be eligible to seek recovery.

Q: Which statements are being investigated as potentially misleading?A: The investigation concerns whether Kinross Gold made materially false or misleading statements regarding its 2026-2027 production outlook and operating conditions at La Coipa and Round Mountain. When the Company disclosed the reduced production guidance and higher expected costs, the stock price declined sharply.

Q: When did Kinross Gold allegedly mislead investors?A: The investigation concerns statements made before the September 23, 2026 operational update that allegedly caused investors to purchase securities at inflated prices.

Q: What do KGC investors need to do right now?A: Investors may gather brokerage records showing purchase dates, share quantities, and prices paid. Submit your information for a no-cost, no-obligation evaluation of your potential recovery. No immediate action is required to remain eligible to participate in the investigation.

Q: What documents do I need to participate?A: Brokerage statements or trade confirmations showing purchase dates, share quantities, prices paid, and any subsequent sale dates and prices.

Q: What if I already sold my KGC shares — can I still recover losses?A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when you purchased, not whether you still hold the shares. Investors who bought KGC and sold at a loss may still participate in the investigation.

Q: What does it cost me to participate?A: There is no upfront cost to submit your information and review whether you may be eligible to recover. Should you choose to participate in any resulting action, these matters are generally handled on a contingency basis, with any attorneys’ fees and expenses subject to court approval.

Q: What if I live outside the United States?A: U.S. securities fraud investigations generally cover purchases on U.S. exchanges regardless of the investor’s country of residence.
