“Big Power. Zero Drama.” asks Americans to take a new look at the power of wind and solar energy
WASHINGTON, Oct 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — What do a wind-powered hang glider, an espresso-serving raccoon, a tug-of-war with grizzly bears, and a kitten perched on a velvet pillow have to do with clean energy?

Not much, actually.
And that’s the point of “Big Power. Zero Drama.” a new national campaign from Our Energy starring John Cena. The campaign uses absurd humor to deliver a surprising message: wind and solar are producing a lot more power in America than many people realize.
Launching today, the campaign puts John Cena – no stranger to displays of improbable strength – in a series of increasingly absurd situations designed to demonstrate “big power” with zero drama. He takes to the skies in a wind-powered hang glider while a raccoon serves him espresso. He faces down a team of grizzly bears in a tug-of-war. And he pulverizes a boulder with his bare hands, only to discover a remarkably unperturbed kitten inside.
The stunts are silly. The scale of wind and solar power isn’t.
“Clean power is a major part of America’s energy system, but public perception hasn’t caught up to today’s reality,” said Laura Beane, Chairman of Our Energy. “The work of this campaign is to change that and help Americans understand that clean energy is already getting the job done, quietly and effectively.”
Today, wind and solar account for 20% of America’s electricity, enough to power 83 million homes. Yet in focus groups conducted by Brunswick Group, an advisor to Our Energy, consumers estimated that only 5% of America’s electricity came from clean power.
The “Big Power. Zero Drama.” campaign is meant to close that gap. It takes a deliberately unconventional approach to a subject that Americans more often encounter through policy debates, technical arguments and political advertising. Rather than telling people what to think about clean energy, “Big Power. Zero Drama.” invites them to reconsider what they think they already know.
“One of the goals of this campaign is to shift the narrative around clean energy to one of abundance, about the energy we need as a nation to make us even more prosperous,” said Beane. “It’s about energy addition, not subtraction.”
“At the end of the day, electrons are electrons, and energy is energy. For too long, the conversation around energy has been divided, and reliable American energy is too important to be defined by division and political polarization. The most important thing is, its American energy,” Beane added. “This campaign reaches a consumer audience we’ve never reached in this way before, stripping away the connotations around the conversation. No lectures. No ideology. Just power that works, drama-free.”
The campaign will run nationally across connected networks, social media, and other online advertising channels, beginning October 6. Additional installments featuring John Cena will roll out in 2027.
