CHICAGO, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Integra Asset Solutions will conduct a major public online auction of equipment from Chicago Scenic Studios on Tuesday, October 27 at 9:00 a.m. CT, featuring (2) CNC routers, CNC waterjet cutter, woodworking & metalworking machinery, welding, material handling, stage production & rigging equipment, paint / finishing, 100’s of power & hand tools, trucks, support and more from the company’s facility at 955 W. Cermak Road in Chicago.
Founded in 1978, Chicago Scenic Studios grew from a design and fabrication shop serving Chicago’s theater community into one of the Midwest’s premier scenic fabrication companies. For nearly five decades, the company brought ambitious concepts to life through custom design, engineering and fabrication for theater, television and film, museums, corporate events, branded environments and major public experiences.
Its work has been featured in projects for some of Chicago’s most recognizable institutions and organizations, including the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, as well as national brands and venues including Nike, McDonald’s and Radio City Music Hall. Notable projects ranged from museum exhibits and broadcast studios to major public events, including the staging and scenery for Barack Obama’s 2008 election-night celebration in Chicago’s Grant Park.
The scope of Chicago Scenic Studios’ work required extensive in-house capabilities spanning woodworking, metal fabrication, painting & finishing. “Because of the range of work performed within this facility and the services provided by Chicago Scenic Studios, this is an incredibly diverse offering,” said John Magnuson, President and Managing Director of Integra Asset Solutions. “You have sophisticated CNC equipment alongside forklifts, fabrication machinery, welding equipment, trucks, rigging and hundreds of power and hand tools. Much of this type of equipment can be used not only by other scenic fabrication companies, but also all manufacturers, fabricators, machine shops, woodworking operations, contractors, construction companies, warehouses, maintenance departments and other commercial and industrial businesses.”
