Program features an Asheville-area pumping room transformation and awards five organizations across the nation with $2,000 makeover packages
ASHEVILLE, N.C., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Aeroflow Breastpumps, a leading provider of breast pumps, breastfeeding support resources and motherhood essentials through insurance, has announced the return of its Pumping Room Makeover, a program designed to help workplaces and community organizations create welcoming, functional spaces for breastfeeding moms.
Since launching in 2018, the initiative has transformed pumping spaces in offices, schools, neonatal intensive care units and homes across the country. This year, Aeroflow Breastpumps is expanding the campaign to reach more families and organizations through five mini makeover package giveaways and an Asheville-area pumping room transformation with a total combined makeover value of $20,000.
The initiative comes as many working mothers continue to face barriers to pumping after returning to work. According to a recent Aeroflow Breastpumps survey*, nearly eight in 10 working mothers plan to continue breastfeeding after returning to work, yet many report lacking the resources and accommodations needed to do so successfully.
Key findings include:
- Only 50% of moms surveyed were aware of the protections available under the PUMP Act.
- Just 21% said their employer had a lactation policy in place.
- 44% reported having inadequate pumping spaces.
- Nearly one-third (31%) said they had no pumping space at all.

Organizations Invited to Apply for Pumping Room Makeovers
As part of the 2026 campaign, Aeroflow Breastpumps is inviting organizations and community spaces nationwide to nominate a shared pumping room for an opportunity to receive one of five mini makeover packages valued at $2,000.
Eligible spaces include nonprofits, libraries, schools, community centers, health clinics, YMCAs, offices and other organizations that serve families and their communities. Each package may include upgraded furniture, milk storage solutions, thoughtful design elements, cozy décor, pumping room essentials and products from Aeroflow Breastpumps partners Lansinoh, Medela and Motif Medical.

Asheville-Area Pumping Room Makeover
In addition to the national giveaway, Aeroflow Breastpumps is partnering with Asheville-based mother, creator and DIY enthusiast Bess Carter to identify and transform a shared pumping space in the Asheville area, where Aeroflow Health is headquartered. Valued at $10,000, the makeover will include upgraded furnishings, pumping essentials and milk storage to create a more comfortable supportive space for breastfeeding parents.
Drawing on her own experience navigating less-than-ideal pumping environments, Carter will collaborate with Aeroflow Breastpumps to redesign the space with practical features and thoughtful touches that help breastfeeding moms feel more comfortable and supported.
