Created by Emmy Award-winning children’s media creator Angela C. Santomero, the creative force behind Blue’s Clues, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Super Why!, Princess Penelope’s Purse of Preposterous Things has already captured young audiences on YouTube, with the series generating over 12 Million views and breakout episodes reaching millions of children and families.
Now, the world kids love on screen is continuing to grow in gorgeously illustrated storybooks. In Bunny Lala’s Big Song, preschoolers return to whimsical Storybook Meadow, where Bunny Lala discovers the courage to share something uniquely her own.
In Pirate Argh’s Treasure Hunt, the adventure expands to the all-new Storybook Beach, where Penelope meets a real pirate and goes on a quest to find buried treasure!
“Parents want to raise children who can think for themselves and care about other people,” Santomero said. “That’s the heart of these stories. I want kids to ask questions, have ideas, make choices and discover what they’re capable of—and then realize that what they do with those abilities matters.”
That philosophy comes to life differently in every adventure. Bunny Lala finds the courage to share her voice, Pirate Argh discovers that sometimes the greatest treasure is what we can accomplish together, and Penelope’s magical Purse of Preposterous Things invites kids to wonder, imagine and figure out what happens next.
“Being kind and being smart aren’t separate strengths,” Santomero said. “Together, they’re a child’s superpower.”
With four books now in the series, Princess Penelope’s Purse of Preposterous Things is “cuddle media” – quickly growing beyond the screen into a larger story world families can cuddle up and experience together. The book series brings the signature mix of imagination, interactivity, humor, kindness and confidence-building into shared reading at home and in the classroom.
Bunny Lala’s Big Song and Pirate Argh’s Treasure Hunt will be available wherever books are sold beginning November 3, 2026.
