Preparing for the warnings + update on the Omnibus
OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On October 7th, Claigan will host a webinar on the new Prop 65 warning requirements coming in 2028 as well as the recent changes in the Omnibus. The generic warning will no longer be valid and short form warnings will be required to include a substance.
Identifying the correct substance will no longer be the blasé affair many companies are used to with Prop 65. If a product warning lists a substance that is not present or poses no exposure risk to the user, the safe harbor protection is void. With over 400 prosecutions a month, Prop 65 is not a regulation to take lightly.
