Over eight weeks, Heffernan’s college interns gained hands-on experience across the organization while working alongside industry professionals and contributing to projects designed to create meaningful business impact. Interns explored the evolving insurance industry, collaborated across teams, and applied their skills to real-world business challenges.
As part of the program, interns participated in a final showcase where they presented their work and recommendations to Heffernan leaders. Projects explored topics including artificial intelligence, process improvement, and workflow optimization, giving interns the opportunity to bring fresh perspectives to challenges facing the insurance industry. The program also included professional development opportunities and mentorship, helping interns build skills and gain insight into the many career paths available within the insurance industry. One of our former interns, Jack Prichard, who accepted a full-time position with Heffernan, led the Sales Track for interns this summer. Two 2026 interns, Charli Brady and Jacob Banducci, were selected as recipients of the CIAB Council Foundation Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to the future of the insurance industry.
