The awards ceremony was held Oct. 8 at the Address Sky View Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Greenberg Traurig, LLP

The deal was led by Greenberg Traurig’s Dubai-based Capital Markets team, including Shareholder Alex Roussos, Senior Associate James Osun-Sanmi, Practice Group Attorney Katie Phillips, and Paralegal Oshin Maheshwari.

Greenberg Traurig was also shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Debt & Equity-Linked Deal of the Year: Kuwait Finance House AT1 Mudaraba Sukuk
  • Public Policy & Regulation Team of the Year
  • Rising Star – International: Krishen Patel
  • Net-Zero Transition Award

The IFLR Middle East Awards celebrate legal innovation across the region, honouring firms and in-house teams for their work on groundbreaking deals, creative structures, and novel approaches to complex mandates, according to the publication.

Khalid A. Al-Thebity, Greenberg Traurig’s Middle East Regional Chair and Managing Shareholder of the Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, office, said: “Winning Impact Deal of the Year at the IFLR Middle East Awards reflects the depth of our Capital Markets and Finance capabilities, combining local market insight, international standards, and cross-border collaboration to support the continued growth and evolution of the Middle East’s Islamic finance markets.”

Chadi Salloum and Shibeer Ahmed, Co-Managing Shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s Dubai office, added in a joint statement, “This recognition is a testament to the technical strength, commercial insight, and collaborative approach of our teams, as well as our commitment to helping clients execute complex, high-profile transactions across the region. Congratulations to all involved.”
