A new Thinglish video from the film’s choreographer and a nationwide Minutes of Movement contest with movie tickets on the line bring the fun of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s The Cat in the Hat into classrooms and homes before it hits theaters November 6th.
ATLANTA, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — GoNoodle, the educational movement platform used by K–12 teachers and parents, today announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s The Cat in the Hat, ahead of the new film’s release in theaters on November 6. The partnership brings the movie’s signature mischief and movement to kids everywhere with a brand-new video, Let’s Speak Thinglish!, and a nationwide Minutes of Movement contest that rewards classrooms and families for getting active with GoNoodle.

In the new animated movie, the Things don’t use words. They communicate through movement and body percussion, a language known as Thinglish. Let’s Speak Thinglish! joins a robust library of Dr. Seuss GoNoodle videos on the Dr. Seuss channel on GoNoodle.com and teaches kids how to “speak” it. Created in partnership with the film’s choreographer, Christopher Scott, the video guides students step by step through the Thinglish words for “hello,” “goodbye,” “yes,” and “no,” then challenges them to say “My name is…” and create their very own names in Thinglish.
GoNoodle’s kid hosts lead the learning, with clips from the film woven throughout. When the lesson wraps, kids are invited to take Thinglish home and teach their families, so the fun of the movie goes with them long after the video ends. Teachers can play it in the classroom, and families can play it anywhere, all month long.
“Kids have a special connection to The Cat in the Hat, and it was pure joy to bring that spirit to GoNoodle,” said Eric Covert, Chief Creative Officer at GoNoodle. “Working with the film’s choreographer to build Let’s Speak Thinglish! reminded us how powerful movement is as a language. Watching kids light up as they learn their first Thinglish words and invent their own names is exactly what GoNoodle is about: getting kids moving, laughing and learning together. We can’t wait to see classrooms and living rooms all over the country speaking Thinglish.”
To celebrate the film’s release, The Cat in the Hat has also partnered with GoNoodle on a nationwide Minutes of Movement contest. Classrooms and homes across the United States can compete to log the most minutes of movement, where every minute of GoNoodle watched counts as one minute of movement.
The prizes are built for the big screen. The winning classroom will receive a family pack of four movie tickets for every student and the teacher so the whole class can see The Cat in the Hat together in their local theater. The families with the most minutes of movement will win family packs of tickets.
The contest runs from October 5th through November 1st. Winners will be announced November 4th, just in time for the movie’s launch.
“The Cat in the Hat is a story kids already love, and Thinglish gives them a way to step inside it,” said Sarah Halloran, Chief Marketing Officer at GoNoodle. “Teachers get a ready-made brain break that kids are excited about, families get a reason to move together at home, and every minute counts toward a shot at movie tickets. It’s a month-long celebration that turns the anticipation of a movie into movement.”
