PARIS, NEW YORK and LONDON, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — AMTD Group Inc. (“AMTD Group”), AMTD IDEA Group (“AMTD IDEA”) (NYSE: AMTD; SGX: HKB), AMTD Digital Inc. (“AMTD Digital”) (NYSE: HKD) and The Generation Essentials Group (“TGE”) (NYSE: TGE; LSE: TGE), a subsidiary of AMTD Digital, jointly (together, the “Group” or “AMTD”) announce AMTD is in negotiation as a final stage bidder in relation to the acquisition of a second hotel in New York City.
In March 2026, AMTD successfully acquired a hotel located at 39 6th Ave, New York, NY 10013, for a cash consideration of USD69 million, which has now been rebranded successfully as the AMTD IDEA Tribeca Hotel.
The newly targeted property is located strategically in the Time Square area.
The relevant parties are currently in final negotiation stage and are working towards a definitive purchase agreement, with a target closing date prior to the end of 2026. However, there are no certainties or guarantee that the transaction will be consummated. If the transaction goes through successfully, AMTD will update the investors accordingly with further details.
To date, AMTD has built a diverse hotel portfolio of six properties across major international cities spanning four continents, including Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, New York, London, Perth, and Kuala Lumpur, with a total of 919 rooms. Upon the completion of this second New York City hotel acquisition, AMTD will fulfil its commitment to increasing its global hotel portfolio to an over 1,000 rooms and a global network of an independent hotels group under the AMTD brand.
AMTD views this opportunity as a significant strategic move and believes this new hotel will become another profit catalyst for the Group.
