Electronic pioneers will help shape new DJ and producer workflows for the creative suite used by 80 million musicians

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Moises, the creative suite for musicians, today announced that Armin van Buuren and Laidback Luke have joined the company as the first members of its Artist Partnerships program. Both artists will help shape new producer- and DJ-focused features and contribute to conversations about the future of music technology and responsible AI. The new program follows the appointment of Charlie Puth as Moises’ Chief Music Officer and expands the company’s effort to put working artists at the center of how its creative tools are built.

At a time when generative AI is raising questions around consent, ownership, and replacement, Moises is taking a different approach: rather than generating finished songs from prompts, its creative suite helps musicians practice, perform, and create while keeping artistic decision-making in their hands. The company trains its AI models only on licensed and authorized content.

“Electronic music has always moved forward because artists were willing to experiment with new technology,” said Geraldo Ramos, founder and CEO of Moises. “The next generation of creative tools has to be built with musicians, not around them. Armin and Luke understand the craft, the community, and the responsibility that comes with building tools musicians will actually use.”

Architects of Modern Dance Music

For more than two decades, van Buuren has shaped the sound, culture, and worldwide reach of electronic music. One of only three artists to be named the world’s No. 1 DJ by DJ Mag five times, he is a GRAMMY-nominated artist, co-founder of Armada Music, and host of A State of Trance, the radio show that reaches more than 40 million listeners.

“Technology has always been part of how electronic music evolves,” said van Buuren. “What matters is whether the artist stays in control. Moises approaches AI with respect for the musician’s own sound and decision-making, and I’m excited to help build tools that make producers faster and more expressive without taking the creativity out of their hands.”

Laidback Luke is a DJ, producer, label founder, and educator whose influence helped shape the rise of modern EDM. Through Mixmash Records, his production forums, and masterclasses, he has championed emerging artists including Avicii and Afrojack. His collaboration and remix credits include Daft Punk, Kanye West, Rihanna, Madonna, Jay-Z, Pharrell, and others.

“Every generation of producers gets new tools, but the best tools do not do the work for you,” said Laidback Luke. “They help you hear more, learn faster, and make stronger creative decisions. That is the kind of AI I want young producers to grow up with.”

What Comes Next

Moises chose dance music as the starting point for the program because electronic artists have long been among the first to transform new technology into new forms of musical expression. Over the coming months, the company plans to announce additional high-profile artists and producers across multiple genres.

The program builds on the company’s recent industry partnerships, including Fender, which selected Moises as the first AI technology partner for its Studio Pro DAW, and Ableton, which chose Moises’ stem-separation technology for Ableton Live. Moises has also partnered with Blackstar Amps, the Whitney Houston Estate, and Cory Henry.
