To commemorate the milestone, team members nationwide were provided resources and volunteer opportunities to give back in meaningful ways in their own communities. More than 62 Clayton Home Building Group® locations and 109 Home Centers took part in volunteer efforts as part of the celebration.

Through the Clayton Impact program, team members can dedicate paid volunteer time to organizations and causes that are meaningful to them.

Examples of volunteer efforts from the past years include:

  • Four hundred nineteen team members from Clayton’s Home Office volunteered 1,676 hours with Blount County Habitat for Humanity®.
  • Ninety-three team members from home building facilities in Sacramento, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Buckeye, Arizona, partnered with Rebuilding Together® to help repair homes and restore community spaces across the Southwest.
  • Team members from Clayton Bonham and Clayton Sulphur Springs partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation® to plant 50 trees at Gray Branch Park in McKinney, Texas.
  • Retail team members across Clayton’s Texas region supported Soldiers’ Angels® by assembling 250 holiday stockings.

“This program began as a way to create more opportunities for Clayton team members to be a force for good in the communities where they live and work,” said Sarah Jo Gregory, Clayton Director of Wellbeing & Impact. “Reaching this milestone shows how strongly team members have embraced the opportunity to do good at scale. Five years in, they continue to show up year after year, investing their time and talents in ways that strengthen their local communities.”

In 2025, more than 75% of Clayton’s 20,000+ team members volunteered. According to research by Double the Donation®, the average corporate volunteer participation rate is 33% and the participation rate in top-quartile corporate volunteer programs is 66%.

“At Clayton, one of our core values is to Do Good, and Clayton Impact is an important way team members can help that value come to life every day,” said Susan Brown, Clayton Director of Philanthropy. “Reaching this milestone reflects the effort of teams across the country and the lasting relationships built with nonprofit partners along the way.”
