Partnership to Be Showcased at Canadian Association of Medical Device Reprocessing (CAMDR) 2026 in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ChemDAQ, a leading provider of hazardous gas monitoring solutions, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Associated Health Systems Inc. (AHS), a Canadian specialty medical device and equipment distributor and manufacturer serving healthcare organizations across Canada for over 35 years.

The partnership combines ChemDAQ’s expertise in continuous monitoring of hazardous chemical vapors with AHS’s experience providing patient and staff safety solutions in Acute Care settings.

Through this collaboration, AHS will offer ChemDAQ’s sensor technology and continuous monitoring systems for hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), peracetic acid (PAA), and ethylene oxide (EtO) to its customers across Canada. Together, the companies aim to provide medical device reprocessing (MDR) departments objective, real-time information that helps teams better understand their work environment, make informed decisions, and reduce chemical exposure risk.

“MDR technicians across Canada work every day to ensure instruments are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized so patients stay safe. This partnership gives Canadian hospitals direct access to technology that helps those same teams understand and reduce the chemical exposure risks in their own departments. AHS shares our belief that staff safety deserves the same rigor as patient safety, and we look forward to educating and serving Canadian hospitals together,” said Alex Hilliker, Executive Vice President, ChemDAQ.

“It’s inspiring to witness the passion for staff safety ChemDAQ has brought to hospitals around the world, combined with their leading edge technology. We’re excited to partner with them to bring that combination to MDRs across Canada, and to help those teams explore what it means for their own departments,” said [Joel Rikley, President], Associated Health Systems Inc.

ChemDAQ and AHS will introduce the partnership to the medical device reprocessing community at the Canadian Association of Medical Device Reprocessing (CAMDR) 2026 conference, taking place October 22–24, 2026, at the St. John’s Convention Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.

ChemDAQ will join AHS at booth 25 & 26 throughout the conference to introduce the partnership and talk with attendees about chemical vapor in their own reprocessing areas.

Additionally, representatives of ChemDAQ and AHS, will speak on Thursday, October 22, presenting:

Annexes 4c – Are You Safe? How Do You Know? Chemical Exposure in MDR
3:45 p.m.–4:30 p.m. | Victory 3

The session will examine chemical vapor exposure risks associated with sterilants and high-level disinfectants, the growing international focus on short-term exposure limits, and practical steps MDR departments can take to better understand exposure and protect staff.
