AMSTELVEEN, Netherlands, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — AKA Foods, the European food technology company behind AKA Studio, today announced two products for food R&D teams. AKA Studio Alchemy, the third generation of its secure AI platform, is available now to all customers. AKA Atlas, a private knowledge engine that builds a verified world model for any food domain, opens its invite-only beta today.

AKA Studio Alchemy, the third generation of AKA Studio, runs the whole development loop: Ideate, Formulate, Sensory, Audit. Shown: a live energy bar project, with the brief and research complete, 14 candidate prototypes generated, five tasting round tables captured, and an AI summary of what the tastings taught the next batch. The food technologist stays in charge throughout.

Food companies hold decades of formulation history, sensory results and regulatory knowledge, but most of it sits in spreadsheets, email threads and the heads of senior staff. Alchemy and AKA Atlas tackle that problem from two directions: one does the formulation work, the other builds the knowledge to do it well.

Alchemy acts. It creates projects, generates batches of candidate recipes, reads product labels from photographs and updates development briefs, always requesting approval first. It is built around the loop food teams already run: Ideate, Formulate, Sensory, Audit. Candidate recipes are generated against real constraints such as cost caps, nutrient targets and ingredient restrictions, tasting feedback feeds the next batch, and a regulatory audit can be run at any point. It ships with 63 improvements across the platform. The expert always decides.

“Alchemy takes on the tasks that don’t need a scientist’s palate, the searching, the constraint checking, the compliance tracking, and the scientist stays in charge of the science,” said David Sack, CEO and co-founder of AKA Foods.

AKA Atlas builds a private, verified model of a company’s food science: computed, not retrieved. It joins everything a company knows with published science, patents and regulations. Every answer arrives with sources cited and a confidence score, and automated research scouts close knowledge gaps. Worlds can be forked by geography or category. AKA Atlas connects read-only above systems a company already runs, and supports on-premise, air-gapped and Sovereign AI deployment: nothing trains a shared model, and data never leaves the customer’s boundary.

“Every food company is using AI now. Almost none of them owns any intelligence,” said Sack. “The chatbots their teams use are shared with competitors, ignorant of their business and forget everything the moment the window closes. AKA Atlas builds the private, verified knowledge that makes AI answers actually worth trusting.”

“AKA Atlas holds a model of your domain, typed, connected and scored for confidence, so answers are computed from what your organisation actually knows, with the evidence attached,” said Professor Alex Bronstein, Chief Scientist at AKA Foods.

AKA Studio Alchemy is available now to all AKA Studio customers. AKA Atlas beta applications are open at aka-food.com.
