Six Million Graded Submissions, 150,000 Teacher Hours Returned

Agilix Labs’ BusyBee, the AI assistant built into the Buzz platform on Amazon Bedrock, now grades about a million K-12 submissions a month, each one approved by a teacher.

OREM, Utah, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Agilix Labs today announced that BusyBee, the AI assistant built into its Buzz platform on Amazon Bedrock from Amazon Web Services (AWS), has graded 6 million K-12 student submissions, returning roughly 150,000 hours of grading time to teachers.

Teachers write more feedback when BusyBee drafts it first. Submissions graded with BusyBee received a written comment 84% of the time, versus 29% without, across a 2.5 million-submission sample.

Across more than 2.5 million submissions on the Buzz platform over the past two weeks, 29% of those graded without BusyBee received a written comment. Of those graded with BusyBee, 84% received one. The 29% says teachers already want to comment on student work. Doing it on every submission is what they lack the time for.

BusyBee lives inside Buzz, so it reads the teacher’s rubric and the student’s work where they already are and returns a draft comment and score. BusyBee never posts a grade. A teacher approves, edits or discards every draft before a student sees anything.

The pace keeps accelerating. BusyBee now grades about a million submissions a month, and Agilix expects the seventh million within weeks.

BusyBee runs on Amazon Bedrock, so student data stays inside AWS security and privacy controls, and Buzz can deploy in any AWS Region, including in-country where a ministry requires it. Agilix Labs holds the AWS AI Software Certification.

“The part that matters to me is a kid opening a returned assignment and finding a comment about their thinking, written by a teacher who had time to give it. BusyBee drafts, the teacher owns every word, and most kids now get that comment. The hours it gives back are for the students who need a teacher one-on-one.”

— Brad Marshall, President and Chief Operating Officer, Agilix Labs

“Systems with hundreds of thousands of teachers are asking whether a teacher can still review every draft at their scale. We have delivered more than 55 million enrollments through our partners to students in more than 200 countries and territories, and being on AWS means we can deploy in-country, at national scale.”

— Curt Allen, Chief Executive Officer, Agilix Labs

BusyBee is available to all Buzz platform customers and partners. Agilix Labs is an AWS ISV Accelerate member and is available on AWS Marketplace. Learn more at www.agilix.com/busybee.
