Siip’s subscription makes it easy for people to discover coffees matched to their evolving taste from roasters committed to long-standing partnerships with farmers.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Today Siip Coffee announced a personalized coffee app and subscription built to remove the guesswork from buying new coffee. Siip learns from every coffee a person drinks and rates, building a Taste Profile that evolves over time. The subscription sends coffees matched to each subscriber’s taste and selected to encourage discovery.

The experience of “I know what I like when I taste coffee, but I couldn’t tell you what I like about it” is reflected in Siip’s data. Siip users most often say they prefer chocolate and nutty flavors in an onboarding survey. Across tens of thousands of ratings, those two flavors are consistently outperformed by less “familiar” flavor categories like floral and berries. Roast profile tells a similar story: six in ten users say they prefer medium roast, yet they rate lighter roasts higher.

“Our goal is to help coffee drinkers better understand their taste, to go from ‘I like this’ to ‘I’m starting to understand why,'” said Nick Spilger, founder and CEO of Siip Coffee. “We built Siip around the idea that people shouldn’t have to become coffee experts before they can explore great coffee.”

Siip considers factors such as origin, variety, processing method, roast level, and flavor profile across tens of thousands of coffees, while keeping the experience simple. Users can rate any coffee, whether it’s from their Siip subscription, a cafe, or a grocery shelf. They scan the bag and answer one question: “How was this coffee?” Every rating sharpens their Taste Profile and the coffees the subscription picks next.

Richie Seaberry, a Siip subscriber, said: “If you asked me six months ago what coffees I like, my answer would have been dark roast with a bunch of cream. Now, I’d tell you it’s probably somewhere from Nicaragua, probably a medium roast, with notes of nuts or chocolate.”

Every shipment aligns with a subscriber’s taste preferences while inviting them to discover something new. Siip might send two coffees from the same country with different processing methods, so a subscriber can taste how processing shapes flavor.

The coffees come from Siip’s founding roaster partners, who share a commitment to long-standing relationships with farmers. Many, including Onyx Coffee Lab, Equator Coffees, George Howell Coffee, Cat & Cloud, and Joe Coffee, have worked with the same farmers for years, sometimes decades. These relationships enable roasters and farmers to invest more deeply in quality and in the long-term viability of their businesses and communities. Siip picks from each roaster’s full catalog, so limited releases and rare single origins go to the subscribers whose taste they match.

The Siip app is free and available worldwide on iOS and Android. The personalized subscription is available in the United States, starting at $14.40 per bag of whole beans for the first two months and $18 per bag thereafter, with free shipping. Subscribers can skip, pause, or cancel anytime.
