RiskScout Closes New Funding Round Following Year of Explosive Growth

New capital, led by LiveOak Ventures, will help RiskScout empower more institutions to fight financial crime efficiently

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — RiskScout, an integrated BSA/AML and fraud prevention platform for banks and credit unions, today announced the close of its latest funding round. The round was led by LiveOak Ventures, with participation from Castle Creek Launchpad, the Bankers Helping Bankers Fund, Alloy Labs, Brue2, and C3 Ventures.

The investment follows a year of substantial growth for RiskScout. The company more than tripled revenue and grew the number of banks and credit unions it serves by over 250% in the past year, including community institutions with under $100 million in assets to those managing more than $10 billion, a trajectory the team expects to continue through the remainder of 2026.

Those institutions face mounting pressure. Fraud losses at community banks continue to rise as fraud and money laundering schemes increasingly overlap, and regulators are placing greater emphasis on BSA/AML program effectiveness. Many institutions are meeting that pressure with lean compliance teams and legacy systems that treat fraud and BSA/AML as separate problems.

RiskScout was built by former BSA officers and bank examiners to close that gap. Its single platform brings BSA/AML compliance and fraud prevention together, integrates with core banking providers, and replaces the outdated, disconnected tools many institutions rely on. Through intelligent automation and AI-driven agents, RiskScout lowers compliance overhead by automating some of the most time-intensive work in financial crime operations, including alert investigation, customer risk profiling, enhanced due diligence, and SAR and CTR filing preparation, while helping institutions prevent fraud losses in real time.

“Every new institution that comes on board is a community that gets safer from fraud and financial crime. That’s what gets our team out of bed,” said Justin Fischer, Co-Founder and CEO of RiskScout. “This round means we can keep saying yes to banks and credit unions of every size, because no financial crime fighter should be under-equipped against bad actors.”

To keep pace with demand, RiskScout has also grown its team, adding former BSA officers, compliance specialists, and fraud examiners who bring firsthand regulatory and investigative experience to the platform. The company will use the new investment to continue scaling its team.

“We back domain-rich entrepreneurs tackling meaningful problems, and fraud is one of the most costly problems facing banks and credit unions today,” said Mike Marcantonio, Partner at LiveOak Ventures. “The RiskScout team has sat in their customers’ seats as BSA officers, fraud examiners, and regulators, and we’re proud to back a team building specifically for these financial institutions serving our communities.”

Looking ahead, RiskScout will use the new capital to expand its intelligent automation and AI-driven agents, deepen integrations with core providers and other partners, and bring its platform to more banks and credit unions.
