A heartfelt evening reintroduced the beachfront resort through an immersive celebration of Hawaiian culture, live music, and meaningful community partnerships.

LAHAINA, Hawaii, April 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Puʻunoa Beach Estates, a collection of privately owned residences in an oceanfront gated community in Lahaina, reopened yesterday marking a meaningful moment of renewal and continued healing for a community that has shown remarkable resilience.

Tucked away on the shores of Lahaina, Puʻunoa Beach Estates has long been a place where guests connect deeply with the spirit of Maui. The beachfront retreat, managed by CoralTree Hospitality since 2018, features five expansive villas with private lanais and sweeping views of lush tropical landscaping and dramatic ocean views. two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas feature luxurious koa wood accents, sophisticated furnishings, and distinctive Hawaiian artwork.

The gated luxury resort overlooks underwater coral gardens along Lahaina’s Baby Beach and offers guests all the comforts of home, including spa-like bathrooms, home entertainment systems, and private lanais as well as a wealth of on-site resort offerings including a hot tub and heated oceanfront pool complete with poolside barbecue grills.

Puʻunoa Beach Estates believes in the power of breathing life and support into the land and community it embodies, fostering a deep connection between place and people. Through collaborations with Aloha Amplified, Nā ʻAikane o Maui, and Treecovery Hawaii, the team creates meaningful opportunities for guests to give back and support local families, cultural preservation, and environmental restoration as part of Lahaina’s long-term recovery.

“Visitors to Puʻunoa Beach Estates often ask how they can support the community during their stay,” said Property Manager Paula Rathbun, who has lived on site for 28 years. “We are proud to guide them toward organizations that are making a meaningful impact here in Lahaina. This celebration allows us to highlight opportunities for guests and residents alike to give back to the island and community we love.”

The reopening event on March 24th honored that connection by celebrating Hawaiian culture, music, and the enduring strength of the Lahaina community. The evening was commemorated by a traditional blessing of the land led by respected Hawaiian cultural practitioner Wilmont K. Kahaialii. With more than 25 years of service to the community and deep roots in Lahaina, Kahaialii conducted a traditional blessing and conch shell ceremony honoring the land, the ocean, and the people who call this place home.

“This evening represents more than the reopening of a property—it reflects the continued resilience, strength, and spirit of Lahaina,” Rathbun added. “We are honored to celebrate alongside members of the community and organizations doing such important work to support Maui’s future.”
