Precoro Expands Its AI Agent Lineup Across the Intake-to-Pay Cycle

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Precoro, an agentic procurement and AP centralization platform, extends its AI capabilities by introducing the Intake Agent, which creates a compliant requisition from a brief description of what an employee needs.

Most spend control problems start at purchase intake. Requesters usually work outside procurement and lack the context to choose the right supplier or GL code. As a result, their requests miss negotiated terms or break policy, and procurement only catches these issues at approval, when fixing them means rework.

Early visibility also depends on adoption. When requesting feels complicated, employees work around the process: they email suppliers directly or mention a purchase to their manager instead of submitting a request. Spend that doesn’t go through the system stays invisible until the invoice arrives.

Precoro’s Intake Agent simplifies the requesting process for employees. Without any procurement expertise, they make purchases that stay on contract and comply with company policy. For procurement and finance leaders, this means spend is visible and controlled before it’s committed.

“Procurement teams spend months negotiating supplier agreements, yet the savings often disappear the moment an employee places a request,” said Andrew Zhyvolovych, CEO of Precoro. “We’re building Precoro so that compliance happens by default, without extra effort from requesters. The Intake Agent is a major step in that direction: it puts negotiated terms to work on every request.”

AI-driven compliance at the intake stage
Precoro’s Intake Agent delivers policy-aligned requisitions from the beginning, with no procurement knowledge required from employees.

The requester describes what they need in a few words. The Intake Agent draws on the company’s contracted suppliers, catalogs, and past purchases in Precoro to create a complete, compliant requisition. As a result, employees save time, and approvers gain immediate confidence in every request.

The customer stays in charge. Each company defines how the agent makes decisions, and requesters confirm every requisition before submission. If the results need adjusting, teams update the policy rather than correcting requests one by one.

AI Crews: Live capabilities and roadmap plans
The Intake Agent joins Precoro’s AI Crews, an interconnected AI workforce that helps procurement and finance handle more volume with the same headcount. Capabilities already available today include:

  • Intake Crew: The new Intake Agent, plus Quote Processing, which reads supplier quotes and converts them into ready-to-approve purchase requests.
  • Purchasing Crew: PO and Receipt Processing create structured records from incoming purchase orders and delivery receipts.
  • AP Automation Crew: The AI Agent for Invoice Extraction captures invoices in non-standard formats, while the Matching Agent links each one to the correct PO, even with missing details. Invoice, Expense, and Credit Note Processing fills in documents from uploaded files and photos.
  • Supplier Management Crew: The Contract Agent extracts key terms from supplier agreements and alerts teams before renewal dates. Supplier Analysis via the AI Assistant helps teams rate supplier reliability and price consistency.
  • Spend Intelligence Crew: Powered by the AI Assistant, Spend Analysis breaks down spend on request, Spend Forecasting shows future costs, Bottleneck Detection flags process blockers, while Risk Insights catches anomalies, duplicates, and mismatches.

The goal is to flip the typical 80/20 split in procurement teams, where most time goes to routine tasks and little remains for strategy. As AI Crews take on the operational load, employees can focus on supplier relationships, savings, and planning, while people still make every final decision. Precoro plans to expand its range of AI agents with Approval, Purchasing, and Payment Agents, all designed to reduce manual work in the purchasing cycle.
