Hotel Unveils Enhancements to All 1,333 Rooms, Suites, and M Club, Raising the Bar for Leisure and Convention Travel in the Heart of the Crescent City

NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — New Orleans Marriott today announced one of the most significant property transformations in its recent history: a full guest room renovation and a reimagined M Club, bringing a new level of contemporary comfort and style to one of the city’s most iconic addresses. Located at 555 Canal Street in the French Quarter and near Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and Caesars Superdome, the hotel sits at the intersection of celebration and innovation.

New Orleans Marriott Crescent City Double Queen Suite

“As one of the largest convention hotels in the region, the New Orleans Marriott plays an important role in welcoming visitors to our city,” said Frank Zumbo, General Manager of the New Orleans Marriott. “This comprehensive renovation represents a significant investment in the guest experience and reinforces our commitment to serving both leisure and group travelers with modern accommodations, enhanced amenities, and the hospitality for which New Orleans is known. Located in a city that was Built to Host, we are proud to continue evolving this iconic hotel while remaining a trusted destination at the center of the city’s business, cultural, and entertainment districts.”

GUEST ROOM REDESIGN

The property-wide upgrades are designed to match the energy of the destination with all 1,333 guest rooms and suites thoughtfully reimagined with contemporary finishes, enhanced functionality, and design elements inspired by modern traveler preferences. Enhancements include the following:

  • Conversion of Double/Double Guest Rooms to Queen/Queen accommodations
  • King Guest Rooms’ chaise lounges convert to a full-size bed, adding more flexibility to better accommodate families and groups
  • New walk-in showers in most of the guest rooms
  • Space-enhancing sliding bathroom barn doors
  • Updated bathroom décor features marble vanities and illuminated mirrors

Suite guests will also experience a refreshed stay, bringing a sense of effortless luxury to every stay with upgrades including:

  • Hard surface flooring and refreshed decor in living spaces
  • Chaise lounges convert to a double bed in Crescent City and Tower Suites seamlessly blending style and function for guests who want the feel of a private residence
  • Five new Queen/Queen Crescent City suites introduce greater flexibility for groups, families, and shared stays, ensuring more adaptable accommodations
  • Refreshed built-in wet bar offers sleek wood cabinetry, a black metal framed mirror with rounded, gold accented edges, a coffee station and sink
  • Signature specialty suites reimagined — from the Presidential Suite to the bi-level Mayor’s Suite, Governor’s Suite, and two-bedroom General Manager’s Suite. Each space has been elevated with refined finishes, expanded residential-style amenities, and inviting living areas designed for entertaining, relaxing, and extended stays

M CLUB UPGRADE

Complementing the guest room upgrades, the hotel’s M Club has been fully redesigned to provide Marriott Bonvoy Elite members and qualifying guests with an elevated lounge experience. The refreshed space features a neutral color palette accented with subtle pops of teal, contemporary furnishings, flexible seating for work and relaxation, upgraded finishes, and a modern design aesthetic that supports both productivity and comfort throughout the day. Overhead, a statement chandelier composed of glass orbs with gold accents adds a warm, sophisticated glow. The result is a welcoming, modern, and elevated lounge experience.

MEETING & DINING

Located in the legendary French Quarter and bordering the Central Business and Warehouse Arts Districts, the New Orleans Marriott is one of the city’s premier convention and meeting destinations. The hotel offers more than 86,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including signature venues overlooking the Mississippi River and the city skyline from the 41st floor. Its central location places guests within walking distance of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Caesars Superdome, Jackson Square, and many of New Orleans’ most celebrated dining and entertainment attractions.

Additional hotel amenities include dual rooftop pools, a 24-hour fitness center and five on-site outlets: 5Fifty5 Restaurant, featuring award-winning authentic New Orleans cuisine; Canal Street Burger Bar, serving premium burgers; 55 Fahrenheit, a handcrafted cocktail bar ideal for meeting up with friends or colleagues; Canal Street Pantry, offering pastries, sandwiches, salads, and homemade pizza; and Canal Street Pantry Café, proudly serving Starbucks coffee.
