The ‘Visionary Circle’ leverages the collective strength of Pink Aid & women leaders across industries to address the hidden financial burden of breast cancer
WESTPORT, Conn., Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The ‘Visionary Circle’, a corporate healthcare advisory group, founded by Kaile Zagger, Global Head of Healthcare & Life Sciences at Riveron and co-founder of MAT Designation, was launched to expand the national presence of Pink Aid, the only national nonprofit delivering immediate emergency financial aid to breast cancer patients experiencing financial hardship. This advisory group leverages the collective strengths of nationally recognized executives, innovators, legal professionals, and healthcare advocates who bring expertise, influence, and professional networks to expand Pink Aid’s work nationally. The group will work to increase awareness, strengthen partnerships, expand fundraising, and elevate conversations around the financial burden of breast cancer.
Breast cancer is one of the most expensive cancers to treat, costing patients and families across the country an estimated $3.14 billion in out-of-pocket expenses annually. For some families, out-of-pocket costs can exceed $100,000 annually. Approximately one in three patients experiences severe financial hardship during treatment. That percentage rises to 78% among patients in low- and middle-income communities, leaving many families to drain savings, accumulate debt, and make impossible choices during treatment.
Since 2015, Pink Aid has provided more than $6 million in emergency financial assistance to over 9,200 patients in active treatment. Working with more than 1,200 hospital social workers across 400 hospitals nationwide, Pink Aid delivers emergency financial aid within 48 hours to help cover rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other essential living expenses.
