When a caregiver activates a staff duress alert via their badge, Epic receives the staff member’s identity and real-time location from CareFlow RTLS. Epic then notifies designated security response and informational groups through its push notification framework, helping teams quickly assess, coordinate and respond to the situation. Responders can also acknowledge or decline alerts directly within Epic, supporting a more efficient and connected emergency response workflow.
