PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford was named among the nation’s top pediatric medical centers, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2026–2027 Best Children’s Hospitals survey. Packard Children’s tied for the top ranking in Northern California and ranked No. 2 (tie) in the state.
For the 11th straight year, Packard Children’s, the center of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, ranked nationally in all 11 pediatric specialties in the survey, underscoring the hospital’s unwavering dedication to delivering highly specialized, multidisciplinary pediatric care.
Four of the hospital’s specialties ranked in the top 10 nationwide:
- Neonatology (No. 4)
- Nephrology (No. 4)
- Neurology and Neurosurgery (No.7)
- Pulmonology and Lung Surgery (No. 8)
Additional pediatric specialties that earned national recognition were Cancer; Cardiology and Heart Surgery; Diabetes and Endocrinology; Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery; Orthopedics; Urology; and Adolescent Behavioral Health.
