FDA-cleared handhelds pair LightStim’s clinically proven LED technology with cordless portability, long-lasting battery life, and a high-transparency biocompatible lens

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LightStim, a leader in professional-grade LED light therapy, today announced the launch of its next-generation LightStim for Wrinkles and LightStim for Acne. The redesigned, FDA-cleared handheld devices bring LightStim’s clinically proven LED technology into a cordless format created for convenient, consistent use at home, on-the-go or wherever life takes you.

Take control of the aging experience by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving your skin's texture and overall health with LightStim for Wrinkles

The new handhelds retain the same targeted wavelengths and close-to-skin treatment approach associated with LightStim while introducing a wireless, battery-operated design; an ergonomic handle; and a medical-grade, high-transparency biocompatible lens. The flat lens helps position the LEDs close to the skin and is easy to clean and maintain. Each fully charged device provides up to two hours of continuous use, or as many as 40 three-minute treatment areas.

“At LightStim, we have always believed that effective light therapy should be clinically grounded, easy to use, and accessible beyond the treatment room,” said Joniann Marchese, President of LightStim. “This next generation brings everything people trust about LightStim into a cordless design that makes it easier to stay consistent with treatment and support long-term skincare goals.”

LightStim for Wrinkles: Nourish Your Skin From Within

LightStim for Wrinkles is the first LED device to receive FDA clearance for the treatment of full-face wrinkles. It uses 72 professional-grade LEDs across four wavelengths: amber (605 nm), light red (640 nm), dark red (652 nm) and infrared (850 nm). The combination is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture and supporting healthier-looking skin. Regular use promotes cumulative results.

Clinical results reported by LightStim showed significant wrinkle improvement in 100% of participants, with 92% recording continued post-trial gains. LightStim for Wrinkles has a suggested retail price of $269.

LightStim for Acne: Gain Your Clear-Skin Confidence

FDA-cleared for the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory acne, LightStim for Acne uses 60 professional-grade LEDs across two wavelengths: blue (417 nm) and red (640 nm). The targeted combination helps clear existing acne and control future breakouts without harsh chemicals or complicated, multi-step routines.

Clinical results reported by LightStim showed visible acne improvement in 100% of participants. LightStim for Acne has a suggested retail price of $189.

Professional Technology, Designed for Everyday Life

Both devices use LightStim’s patented MultiWave® Technology to deliver multiple wavelengths of light simultaneously for targeted treatment performance. By combining professional-grade LEDs with cordless portability, the next-generation handhelds are designed to help consumers extend professional skincare results at home and build LED therapy into a consistent routine.

LightStim for Wrinkles and LightStim for Acne will be available beginning September 22, 2026, at LightStim.com and through leading online retailers, including Nordstrom, REVOLVE and Dermstore, as well as participating Massage Envy, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, and Palm Beach Tan (PBT) locations.
