Organized by nonprofit 9/11 Day, these events transformed a day of remembrance into a day of service and community impact.
9/11 Day led the effort to establish Sept. 11 as a federally recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance in 2009, creating a legacy that encourages individuals, businesses and organizations to honor the day through service to others.
