New role designed to advance Deloitte Tax’s technology and AI-enabled offerings and strengthen client value in a rapidly evolving marketplace
NEW YORK, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) today announced the appointment of Chris Puglia as chief products officer (CPO), a newly established role which underscores Deloitte Tax’s ongoing commitment to marketplace innovation and client-centric value delivery through advanced technology.
Deloitte Tax established the CPO role to advance its commitment to providing innovative, technology-enabled solutions amid rapid industry change, including the growing impact of AI. Puglia will guide the end-to-end vision, commercialization and continuous advancement of Deloitte Tax’s technology offerings. The role draws on Puglia’s deep leadership experience, industry acumen and strong understanding of the organization’s strategy, clients, and the evolving role of technology in the tax marketplace.

Puglia currently leads Deloitte Tax’s East Region where he advises C-suite clients as they navigate mergers and acquisitions, cross-border tax, and enterprise-wide tax transformation. He has deep experience designing and implementing modern operating models that enable tax departments to move efficiently from legacy processes to technology-driven, agile structures — aligning tax strategy with long-term growth, resilience and organizational agility.
Puglia holds an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut.
