The annual contest invites young artists to use their creativity to raise awareness and help inspire the stomach cancer community.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF) is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Youth Art Contest. The contest invites young artists aged 18 and younger to use art and photography to share their vision of a cancer-free world. Inspired by DDF Founder Debbie Zelman’s dream to cure stomach cancer, the annual contest gives young people an opportunity to combine creativity with a meaningful cause. This year’s theme asks participants: “What’s your dream for a cancer-free world?”

Selected artwork will be featured on DDF Youth Art Greeting Cards, helping bring encouragement and inspiration to members of the stomach cancer community. A Grand Prize winner will receive a $200 cash prize, and selected art and photography winners will each receive a $100 cash prize.

“Through the Youth Art Contest, young people have an opportunity to connect with our mission in a way that is creative, personal, and meaningful,” said Amanda Pullinger, CEO of Debbie’s Dream Foundation. “Their artwork reminds our community that people of every age can play a role in raising awareness and inspiring progress toward a future free from stomach cancer.”

Participants may submit original artwork in a variety of media, including watercolor, painting, crayon, chalk, charcoal, pencil, marker, and more, as well as original photography. Applicants must be 18 years of age or younger and have been directly or indirectly affected by cancer.

The complete contest rules and the official application are available at https://debbiesdream.org/youth-opportunities-and-scholarships/.
