New members including SoftBank Corp. and Crusoe join the cloud native community to help build cost-efficient, sovereign infrastructure

SHANGHAI, Sept. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Cloud Native Computing Foundation® (CNCF®), which builds sustainable ecosystems for cloud native software, today announced the addition of nine new Silver members, including telecommunications leader SoftBank Corp. and AI infrastructure provider Crusoe, reinforcing the continued momentum of cloud native adoption across industries and further strengthening the foundation’s global community. This cohort, spanning telecommunications, AI infrastructure, cloud hosting, infrastructure efficiency, autonomous code optimization, sovereign infrastructure, and open source data retrieval, joins the nearly 800 members and over 300,000 contributors across more than 250 projects and 190 countries in the cloud native ecosystem.

CNCF is the open source, vendor-neutral hub of cloud native computing, hosting projects like Kubernetes and Prometheus to make cloud native universal and sustainable.

“With the shift from AI experimentation to 24/7 production inference at scale, the challenge is about getting more from the infrastructure organizations already have rather than adding more compute,” said Jonathan Bryce, executive director of CNCF. “Open source communities are building the orchestration, observability and infrastructure layers needed to use those resources more efficiently. These new members bring expertise across the stack and strengthen the community working to make production AI infrastructure more efficient and accessible.”

As organizations transition AI workloads from training to inference, platform teams face rising demands for operational efficiency, data sovereignty, and resource optimization. CNCF’s newest members reflect that shift, bringing domain expertise and technology built for production-scale AI.

New Silver Members

The following organizations have recently joined CNCF as Silver Members:

  • AlphaBravo provides Kubernetes lifecycle management, hardened containers, and platform training solutions for teams operating in connected and disconnected environments.
  • Ascendra Networks brings live vertical scaling to virtual machines and Kubernetes nodes, enabling organizations to achieve up to 5x higher compute efficiency from existing on-premises and reserved capacity while reducing cloud costs by over 70% for agentic workstations, stateful applications, and HPC clusters.
  • CodeVisionary is the Performance Efficiency Platform (PEP) for technology leaders. Its autonomous model finds and eliminates computational waste in both legacy and AI-generated code, reclaiming the performance headroom teams already have and cutting cloud costs at the source.
  • Crusoe is an AI factory company on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. Crusoe’s vertically integrated model is purpose-built for AI infrastructure – from energy to compute to cloud. Crusoe Cloud is engineered for AI training, inference, and high-performance computing workloads, offering GPU-powered managed inference services and infrastructure-as-a-service with intelligent orchestration.
  • DHH is a leading European holding company focused on the hosting cloud computing infrastructure sector. Through its portfolio of brands, it provides scalable, secure, and high-performance hosting, cloud, artificial intelligence, and connectivity solutions to businesses of all sizes. DHH is deeply rooted in the open source community, believing that the best technology is built through collaboration and transparency.
  • Infino AI is an open source retrieval engine that runs FTS, vector search, and SQL over Parquet on object storage. Built by the creators of OpenSearch, it delivers fast queries across a billion documents at a tenth of the cost.
  • SoftBank Corp. (TOKYO: 9434) operates telecommunications and IT businesses in Japan and globally. Building on its strong business foundation, SoftBank Corp. aims to activate the potential of AI across its businesses and drive implementation in line with its “Activate AI for Society” growth strategy. While further growing its telecom business, SoftBank is expanding its AI computing infrastructure and AI and Cloud service businesses, aiming to become a provider of Next-generation Social Infrastructure.
  • Valarian Technologies Ltd builds sovereign digital infrastructure by deploying AI on hardened Kubernetes to keep control of data, agents, and business at scale.

About the Newest Silver End User Member

CNCF also welcomes its newest Silver End User Member, an organization that actively uses cloud native technologies to drive digital transformation:

  • Legora is building the OS for the world’s legal work: collaborative AI for exceptional lawyers. Legora’s multi-region AI platform runs on Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem, including Argo CD, Kargo, Crossplane, Cilium, and Kyverno. With engineering offices in Stockholm, New York, and London, the company is growing its platform and infrastructure teams to contribute back to CNCF projects.

CNCF Silver Members receive various benefits valued at over $300,000 USD, including training and educational subscriptions, event sponsorship discounts, access to The Linux Foundation’s legal resources, opportunities to join project working groups, and more.
