SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Behavior Frontiers, a nationally recognized leader in applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism, proudly announces the expansion of its autism services in the Sacramento region with three new center-based locations opening between October and December, joining its existing centers in Citrus Heights and Rocklin. The first, in Rancho Cordova, opens this month at 3130 Kilgore Rd, Suite 300, followed by a Sacramento center on American River Dr in November and a second Sacramento center on Riverside Blvd in December, bringing Behavior Frontiers’ Sacramento-area footprint to five centers.

Behavior Frontiers is expanding in Sacramento because it sees a growing need for quality early autism care close to home. That need reflects a statewide trend: according to the California Department of Developmental Services, the number of Californians served for autism has grown 162% over the past decade, and autism became the state’s largest diagnostic disability category for the first time in 2024. Each new location is a dedicated center-based setting built specifically for toddlers and young children with autism during the earliest, most critical developmental years, where they can build skills alongside peers their own age. Rancho Cordova, a diverse community of nearly 88,000 residents where one in four is under age 18, is the first stop in the expansion.

“Families across the Sacramento region deserve access to high-quality autism care close to home, and we see how much that need is growing,” said Helen Mader, CEO of Behavior Frontiers. “Three new centers in just a few months means more children can start therapy sooner, and we’re honored to help them live their best lives and thrive alongside their families and communities.”

A key part of Behavior Frontiers’ difference is its proprietary PrioraCare platform, a powerful tool that allows clinicians to track each child’s progress in real time and adjust therapy plans quickly based on data. This innovative, individualized approach ensures that children receive exactly the support they need, when they need it, leading to more effective outcomes and stronger long-term growth.

Each new Behavior Frontiers Sacramento-area Autism Care Center will offer:

  • Individualized ABA Therapy: One-on-one programs tailored to each child’s unique journey and developmental needs.
  • Early Intervention Services: Specialized programs tailored for toddlers and young children, helping them build essential skills during their most critical developmental years.
  • Comprehensive Care: Therapy addressing every key area of development a child needs to thrive, including language, social skills, communication, independence, motor skills, daily living, and school readiness – helping new skills generalize and last for a lifetime.
  • State-of-the-Art Facility: Designed for young children with autism to learn alongside their peers, build social skills, daily living skills, and confidence within a dedicated space built for growth.

To celebrate the first of the three openings, Behavior Frontiers invites the Rancho Cordova and greater Sacramento community, families, pediatricians, and local leaders to a Sensory-Friendly Halloween Bash Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 24th from 1pm – 3pm PST at 3130 Kilgore Rd, Suite 300, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. Get your tickets here today. Halloween costumes are encouraged, and guests will enjoy sensory-friendly trick-or-treating, games, crafts, and giveaways, with the first 20 kiddos receiving a free Boo Basket to take home. Attendees can tour the new center, meet the expert clinical team, and learn more about Behavior Frontiers’ comprehensive autism services in a fun, inclusive environment.

Behavior Frontiers’ new Rancho Cordova and Sacramento Autism Care Centers accept most major insurance providers and Medi-Cal plans and are now enrolling new families.
