CAMDEN, N.J., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., today announced leadership changes for its Missouri and Illinois subsidiaries.

Rich Svindland has resigned from his role as president of Missouri American Water to pursue a new professional opportunity effective Oct. 23, 2026. During his tenure, Svindland served in key leadership roles, including president of Missouri American Water and California American Water, and helped advance the company’s commitment to delivering safe, clean, reliable and affordable water and wastewater service. American Water thanks Svindland for his contributions and wishes him continued success.

Rebecca Losli, currently president of Illinois American Water, has been named president of Missouri American Water and Brian Eisenloeffel, currently vice president of Operations in Illinois American Water, has been named president of Illinois American Water.

“Rebecca and Brian are proven leaders who bring complementary strengths to these roles,” said Cheryl Norton, executive vice president and chief operating officer of American Water. “Rebecca’s engineering, business development and state-president experience, along with her familiarity with Missouri, will be invaluable as she returns to lead Missouri American Water. Brian’s operational expertise, strong relationships across Illinois and steadfast commitment to employees and customers make him well suited to lead Illinois American Water. I am confident they will build on the strong foundation in both states and continue advancing our focus on safety, operational excellence, customer service and community partnership.”

Losli served as president of Illinois American Water since 2022. She joined American Water in 2021 as director of Engineering for Missouri American Water, where she oversaw the performance of the Engineering Department. Her responsibilities later expanded to include Business Development, and she was named vice president of Engineering and Business Development in Missouri. Before joining American Water, Losli served as program manager of Program Planning for the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. She also founded Losli Engineering, LLC, and served as Water Regional Global Practice Leader at Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company.

He brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience with American Water, having begun his career at Missouri American Water in 2002 as an engineer.
