ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Air, the leader in Enterprise Readiness, today announced the appointment of Andrej Danko as Chief Product and Technology Officer. Danko brings decades of expertise in AI and global enterprise software to Air as the company continues to scale its Air Enterprise Readiness platform to meet the growing demands of the national security enterprise.
Under CEO Tara Murphy Dougherty, Air has expanded its reach across every branch of the military, as well as federal civilian agencies, the intelligence community, allied and partner governments, and their industry partners and suppliers. Since reaching unicorn status in 2025, Air has rapidly scaled to deliver real-time readiness directly to the front line. Reflecting this momentum, the company recently climbed to #18 on the 2026 NatSec100 list of venture-backed defense and dual-use innovators—marking the index’s largest upward advancement of any company in 2026.
“Andrej brings an unmatched combination of deep technical expertise and a proven track record of scaling AI-driven products for the public sector,” said Tara Murphy Dougherty, CEO of Air. “As Air accelerates to meet urgent readiness challenges and immense market demand, his visionary leadership over our product and engineering teams will be invaluable to ensuring our Air Enterprise Readiness platform continuously delivers for the front line.”
As Chief Product and Technology Officer, Danko will further define Air’s product strategy, roadmap, development, and engineering. He will shape core capabilities and is responsible for the company’s AI-native platform, Air Enterprise Readiness. In this critical leadership role, he oversees all of Air’s R&D and drives the continuous innovation of systems designed to close the Readiness Gap, the dangerous chasm between what the front line needs and what the national security enterprise can deliver.
Danko brings three decades of experience in the software industry to Air, specializing in product management, design, engineering, and corporate strategy. He joins the company from ServiceNow, where he most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Public Sector Product Management. In that role, he led global public sector AI strategy and product execution, delivering pioneering agentic AI deployments across the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and international defense allies, including NATO members, Australia, and Singapore.
Prior to ServiceNow, he served as Vice President of Product & Design at Productboard and held pivotal leadership roles at cutting-edge AI companies like Merlon Intelligence, as well as the global enterprise software firm SAP. Danko holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, alongside a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Applied Computer Science.
“I am thrilled to join Air at such an important time in its growth and to lead the evolution of the Air Enterprise Readiness platform,” said Danko. “By leveraging AI to align development, production, and sustainment, we have a unique opportunity to fundamentally change how readiness is achieved. I look forward to working with Air’s top-tier technical team to deliver the readiness capabilities our national security enterprise demands.”
