The four-part mystery drama from creator Mark E. Swinton, executive produced by Tyler Perry, released all four episodes at once
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Clark Moore, the Laredo, Texas-born actor with more than 65 credits across television, film, and video games, appears as Lt. Jeff Gibson in Route 187, the four-part mystery drama now streaming exclusively on Paramount+. All four episodes were released Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Created, written, and directed by Mark E. Swinton and executive produced by Swinton and Tyler Perry for Tyler Perry Studios, Route 187 is set in the fictional, crumbling city of South Winslow and follows the residents who depend on the city’s bus route. The story opens with the brutal murders of a bus driver and a high school basketball star, beaten to death on a bus, an act that ignites community outrage and pulls authorities into a hunt for the culprits caught on video. As the investigation widens, it collides with a string of missing Black women cases and a killer who has operated undetected for years. The series stars Christopher Livingston, Elijah Collins, Tonia Jackson, Lawrence Robinson, Rico Ball, and Cuyle Carvin, alongside Moore.
“Clark brought a steadiness to this set that you notice immediately. He shows up prepared, he listens, and he makes the scene better for everyone standing in it. I’m glad audiences are finally going to see this work.”

Moore plays Lt. Jeff Gibson, a police lieutenant working the South Winslow case as it grows from a single bus stop into something far larger than the community first understood.
“South Winslow is fiction, but the pattern underneath it is not. Cases like these get worked hard when the cameras are on and quietly shelved when they aren’t. Mark Swinton wrote a show that refuses to let that go, and playing a man carrying the weight of that investigation was the kind of work you don’t get offered every year.”

Route 187 arrives with a festival run already behind it. The series was an official selection of the 7th Annual LightReel Film Festival in Washington, D.C., where it opened the festival in June 2026, and was officially accepted into the RSF Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, one of the summer’s most closely watched showcases for Black storytelling.
The role also lands squarely in the territory Moore is best known for. Much of his career has been built on blue-collar authority in detective, lawman, and military parts, from SEAL Team and NCIS to S.W.A.T. and Yellowstone, and Lt. Gibson extends that line into one of the most talked-about independent productions of the year.
Route 187 closes out a three-production year for the SAG-AFTRA actor. Moore appeared as Detective Moreno in Lifetime’s Murder in Music City, which premiered in February, and as guest star Caleb Easton in Hulu’s Furious, the Elizabeth Meriwether crime thriller that ran through August.
Moore’s career highlights include a recurring role as D.A. Stanny Sanders in the ABC limited series Women of the Movement, executive produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z, and a leading performance in Aaron Mahnke’s Amazon Prime series Lore. Born and raised on his father’s ranch in Laredo, Texas, Moore studied film at The University of Texas at Austin before relocating to Los Angeles. His special skills include Krav Maga, weapons handling, and horseback riding, capabilities that inform his approach to tactical, military, and western roles.
All four episodes of Route 187 are now streaming exclusively on Paramount+. The official trailer is available on YouTube, and the series can be followed on Instagram at @route.187.
