David Jeremiah Shares Special Easter Message

SAN DIEGO, April 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Waiting is a part of life. We wait in lines, we wait in traffic, we wait for answers. The average person spends anywhere from 15–30 minutes a day waiting on something—that’s up to 300 hours a year. And depending on what we’re waiting for, those hours can feel like a lifetime.

Sometimes waiting changes everything.

But some waiting changes everything.

Jesus’ disciples knew what it was to wait. They waited for the long-anticipated Messiah. When He came, they believed—and waited for Him to overthrow the Roman empire and establish His reign. Then He was crucified, and they were left waiting again—this time for answers in what felt like the end of all hope.

Their wait lasted three days. But those days must have felt like an eternity.

And yet, those three days reshaped eternity itself.

The path from the Cross to the Resurrection changed everything. What looked like defeat was the beginning of victory. What felt like silence was God at work. Victory, hope, and promises given long ago were unfolding in the heavenly realms. God was resetting the universe.

Human eyes could not see it. And the hearts of the disciples were so broken that they could not imagine what was to come next. In the days between the Crucifixion and the Resurrection, what was transpiring would result in the gift of eternal life, victory over death, the reversal of the curse of sin and separation from God.

Easter was and is a miracle. Christ’s death and resurrection brought the gift of salvation.

Easter opened up a crack in a universe winding down toward entropy and decay, sealing the promise that one day God would enlarge the miracle of Easter to cosmic scale.

As the disciples had to live through the waiting period between crucifixion Friday and resurrection Sunday, we are living in the waiting period between Christ’s resurrection and His return. We live between His promise and His fulfillment, but we can trust that what God has promised He will do.

It was true then, and it’s still true today. But waiting can be difficult.

However, when we fix our eyes, our hearts, and our minds on the One who created time, our perspective begins to change. We are not waiting without purpose. We are not waiting without hope. We are waiting with confidence in what God has already done—and in what He has promised to do. We can trust that what God has promised He will do.

Because of Easter, we know how our story ends. Because of Easter, we are filled with incredible hope.

The hope that one day we will be with God forever. One day, He will return and set everything right. One day, there will be a new heaven and a new earth, the curse of sin and death will be reversed. And the waiting will be over.

Until that day, we wait with anticipation.

This Easter season, rejoice in the anticipation of God’s promises—

Rejoice that our Savior conquered death, hell, and the grave.
Rejoice that Christ rose to life and ascended to the right hand of God.
Rejoice that through faith in Him, you are a part of God’s family.
Rejoice that because of Easter, everyone is invited into the family of God.
Rejoice in the promise that what began at Easter will one day be fulfilled on a cosmic scale.

This Easter, remember—

Our waiting is not empty.
Our waiting is not wasted.

Our waiting is just the beginning.
