FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., April 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CMC Energy Services, a women-owned company with a 50-year legacy in energy efficiency, has appointed Charlotte Matthews as Chair of the Board of Directors. Matthews succeeds Eileen McGinnis, who served as Chair for five years and previously led the company as President for a decade.

CMC Board Chair Charlotte Matthews

CMC is a leading provider of energy efficiency and electrification services for low- and moderate-income households. As energy costs rise nationwide, the company remains focused on making homes more comfortable, energy efficient, and affordable.

“Eileen has been a transformative leader for more than 15 years,” said Mimi Iklé-Khalsa, co-owner and board member. “She guided significant growth while preserving our culture of service and mission-driven impact. We are grateful she will continue to support CMC as Chair Emeritus.”

Matthews has served on the CMC board for five years and brings deep expertise in sustainability, building performance, and affordable electrification. Her leadership spans the nonprofit, technology, and real estate sectors, positioning CMC to navigate a rapidly evolving energy landscape shaped by electrification, grid modernization, and artificial intelligence.

“Charlotte’s expertise in building electrification and technology makes her the right leader for CMC’s next chapter,” said Iklé-Khalsa. “Her action-oriented approach will help us continue delivering best-in-class service to utility partners and the communities we serve.”

“I am honored to step into this role,” said Matthews. “I am committed to strengthening board engagement and advancing CMC’s mission to deliver energy affordability and health benefits to households nationwide.”

Throughout her career, Matthews has held senior leadership roles at RMI, Google, Sidewalk Labs, and Related Companies, where she focused on decarbonization, sustainable infrastructure, and affordable electrification.

With this transition, CMC enters its next chapter, grounded in five decades of impact and focused on expanding access to clean, affordable energy solutions.
