Valletta, Malta – January 15, 2026 – SOFTSWISS, a leading global provider of technology solutions for the iGaming industry, today announced the appointment of Denis Romanovskiy as its first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO). The creation of the new C-suite role formalises SOFTSWISS’ strategy to treat artificial intelligence as core business infrastructure, reflecting AI’s growing role in shaping enterprise technology, productivity and competitive advantage.
Romanovskiy takes over as CAIO after serving as Deputy Chief Technology Officer at SOFTSWISS, where he played a key role in scaling the company’s technology platforms and engineering capabilities over the past five and a half years. Prior to joining SOFTSWISS, he held development and leadership positions at EPAM Systems and Wargaming.Net, gaining extensive experience in enterprise software, large-scale technology platforms, and high-performance product environments.
In his CAIO role, Romanovskiy will define and execute SOFTSWISS’ AI strategy and lead the rollout of the software provider’s AI Platform – a centralised, enterprise-grade infrastructure designed to securely and efficiently scale AI automation across the organisation. The platform serves as a core infrastructure layer, connecting AI capabilities with corporate tools, systems, and data. It enables teams to automate thousands of workflows, analyse data at scale, and accelerate decision-making, while maintaining strict access control, full auditability, and cost transparency.
Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, commented:
“The creation of the Chief AI Officer role is a clear testament to how critical artificial intelligence has become to the future of technology. AI is transforming how products are built, how businesses operate and how value is created. By investing early in a unified AI platform and dedicated leadership, SOFTSWISS is positioning itself at the forefront of this shift, turning innovation into secure, scalable, real-world results.”
Denis Romanovskiy, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at SOFTSWISS, added:
“I am excited to take on this new challenge, as SOFTSWISS moves from experimentation to execution. We’ve seen first-hand the amazing things AI can do. Our focus now is on making AI a trusted, governed and economically efficient capability that delivers measurable productivity gains across every part of the business.”
Introducing a dedicated C-suite role to lead AI adoption enables SOFTSWISS to establish consistent standards, clear accountability and full visibility into how artificial intelligence is developed and used across the company. The AI Platform is at the centre of this approach. It provides a single governed ecosystem for enterprise AI, replacing fragmented tools with a standardised, secure foundation that prevents uncontrolled ‘shadow AI’ usage and gives leadership clear insight into AI activity across a global workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
A key advantage of the AI Platform is its ability to democratize innovation across the organisation. Business units such as HR, Sales, and Customer Support can independently build and deploy AI-powered workflows without creating bottlenecks for central engineering teams. Shared integrations and reusable components follow a ‘build once, use everywhere’ model, significantly reducing duplicated development efforts and accelerating enterprise-wide AI adoption.
In his role as CAIO, Romanovskiy will oversee the AI Platform’s continued evolution and scale AI solutions across all business functions to support SOFTSWISS’s bid to become a leader in responsible, enterprise-scale AI adoption.
